Join this listening party to celebrate the launch of Colin’s new EP‘ written as a sound installation for the Cutty Sark in London with his Sonic Collaborations collaborator, violist Nic Pendlebury (Smith Quartet). Joining them both is singer lottie p (Goat Girl) whose vocals feature on the single ‘Ebb and Flow’.

Robert is one of five composers to join forces with renowned experimental ensemble House of Bedlam to answer this question. Catch Robert’s piece Speedrun for cello and video game controller (2024) commissioned by PLAY performed by Steph Tress on cello and Robert himself on Xbox controller.

Stick in the Wheel’s UK tour continues throughout November with dates in Aldershot (Fri 1/11), Ramsgate (Sat 2/11), Bristol (Sun 3/11),  Oxford (Thu 28/11) and Dartington (Sat 30/11).

Emily Peasgood  Listening Desk, venues across the UK

Listening Desk is an interactive sound sculpture that invites people to access and create soundscapes with sound archives. The Listening Desk democratises access to sound archives in a fun and playful way. Installed at 10 locations around the UK.

Colin Riley Cutty Sark soundscape, London

An immersive ambient set of soundtracks for each of the decks of the Cutty Sark (in all weathers) created by composer Colin Riley and violist Nic Pendlebury (Sonic Collaborations). The music uses an orchestra of electric violas alongside treated piano and samples mixed with sounds from the boat.

The music is available exclusively as a download EP on the Sonic Collaborations Bandcamp.
