Colin brings new albumĀ Ocean SongsĀ to Wiltons Music Hall, London on 19th May at 7pm. This is for one of Steve Pretty’sĀ wonderfully off-the-wall series of eventsĀ called ‘On the Origin of the Pieces’. It follows the success of performances at last years First Light Festival and the National Maritime Museum, and most recently an album launch at Londons only ‘floating’ venue Theatreship (Canary Wharf). The new album has been described in reviews asĀ ‘a sort ofĀ Stereolab goes to the Science Museum‘ and ‘Colin Riley and crew have cultivated quite the stunningly beautiful song and album. In July Colin and the ensemble of Lottie P (Goat Girl), Nic Pendlebury (Smith Quartet) and Steve Pretty (Hackney Colliery Band) take a special version of their live show to Latitude Festival with special guest Helen Czerski (author/scientist).
