Here is a beautiful video of the premiere of ‘a point in the landscape’ at Tectonics Glasgow with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra in amazing form.
This video is best played through an audio system, not computer speakers or mobile devices, as the sound range is wide. Also, check that the video player’s volume is set to full (11) for the best effect.
Of course, the recording is a very different experience from the surround sound and huge dynamic range of the live performance, but it is very good, and I take my hat off to the engineers who worked amazingly to render the unique sonic experience in the hall to two stereo channels.
