Lisa Robertson is a composer and violinist from the West Highlands of Scotland, particularly interested in combining sounds from nature and traditional music, examining relationships between people and the land, and highlighting environmental concerns. She is passionate about Gaelic culture, especially that local to her home area, and speaks Gaelic.
David John Roche’s music is direct, determined, and loud. Strongly influenced by heavy metal, lush orchestral music, and his working-class Welsh background, he has been marked out as a “clear-minded and class-conscious artist” (Culture Matters) and “one of the most energetic, driven, and successful of Wales’s millennial generation of composers” (Tŷ Cerdd).
Dr. Angela Elizabeth Slater is a composer whose compositional voice focuses on musically mapping aspects of the natural world into the fabric of music. Slater collaborates with performers, ensembles, and initiatives worldwide to musically explore sounds, colours, and textures.
Gus is an award-winning writer and composer based in York. For his first full-length musical Pieces of String in 2018 (which was named for The Stage’s Best Regional Musical of the year) Gus won The Stage Debut Award for Best Composer/Lyricist, and was nominated for a Writer’s Guild of Great Britain award for Best Musical Theatre Bookwriting. His second full-length musical Mayflies premiered at York Theatre Royal in 2023, to great acclaim.
Stick In The Wheel’s work is rooted in traditional music and song, informed by the modern electronic music that grew out of their hybrid East London heritage. This radical East London duo are known for their intense live shows exploring the raw holler of folk, electronica, spoken word and intricate rustic dobro guitar.
Tom’s playful and seductive music has been championed by many of the UK’s major orchestras and ensembles. In 2021 he was made Composer-in-Association with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra.

Ben Gaunt is a Yorkshire-based composer, sonic artist, and improviser. He has been nominated for an Ivor Novello Award and a British Composer Award. He has worked with the London Symphony Orchestra, Grimethorpe Colliery Band, the London Sinfonietta, Psappha and many others.
Marcus Joseph, a gifted Alto Saxophonist and poetic wordsmith, aspires to be an instrument of change through his transformative artistry. Hailing from Leicester, Marcus is more than a musician; he’s a cultural luminary deeply rooted in his Afro-Caribbean heritage. His debut album ‘Beyond the Dome’ (Jazz Refreshed) effortlessly blends jazz, reggae, hip hop with contemporary music.
Joanna makes scores, sounds, and films, very often in collaboration with other performers, composers, and artists. Her work ranges from the relatively conventional to the very open. She is also a vocalist and performer of contemporary and experimental work, and an improviser.
Colin’s music crosses many boundaries and draws on a range of elements including new technologies, song-writing and large-scale classical form. He’s at home creating small delicate piano pieces and intimate electronica as well as monumental and epic orchestra works.
A versatile composer of concert music, Alice Beckwith’s music is lyrical and contemporary – her melodic sound firmly rooted in the British Isles – with an emphasis above all upon story-telling.
Helgi R. Ingvarsson is a composer based in Brighton, whose music is regularly premiered and performed in the Nordic countries and the UK.
Amelia is a Northern Irish composer who creates folk-influenced work for dance, stage and concert hall, exploring potent contemporary issues through the lens of nature, mythology and literature to find nuanced perspectives. Laura is a composer specialising in theatre, multi-disciplinary work and opera. Her work explores socio-political content with a desire to provoke dialogue, action and change.
Multi-disciplinary artist Gareth works across music, writing and performance. He describes his work as “casual, sensuous, and erotic. It queers systems from the inside. It’s kind of like taking poppers: vaporous and heady, disorientating but pleasurable”.
Elliot’s work spans multiple worlds including jazz, improvisation, contemporary classical and sound installation. Commissions include the London Sinfonietta, Ligeti Quartet and the London Jazz Festival.
Elliot’s patrons get a comprehensive and authentic picture of his creative process through detailed analysis of experimentation and technique, alongside first-listens of new work.
Mark’s work includes chamber, orchestral, and vocal music, with commissions from BBC Symphony Orchestra, Ulster Orchestra and BBC National Orchestra of Wales among others.
Ayanna multi-faceted creative world incorporates music which crosses the boundaries of classical, jazz, reggae, soul and R&B.
Marc is a composer and abstract landscape painter based across Dorset and Somerset, whose music has been performed by the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra and Hallé Orchestra among others.
