Supriya Nagarajan Beowulf, Hudderfield

Supriya composes an original score alongside fellow composer Leighton Jones for a new large-scale, immersive Yorkshire adaptation of the oldest known English poem BEOWULF, adapted by five Yorkshire-based poets Ian McMillan, Michelle Scally-Clarke, Joel Simmy, Chris O’Connor and Franc Chamberlain. Part of Kirklees Year of Music 2023.

A special performance from Supriya alongside Longplayer, an everlasting musical composition, repeating once every 1000 years. It began playing at midnight on the 31st of December 1999, and will continue to play without repetition until the last moment of 2999, at which point it will complete its cycle and begin again.
